What have you given 2020?
We have lived in agony plenty.
We were so happy in January,
Busy penning our dreams in February.
As we were ready to march,
You came in our life as a scratch.
Before we could fulfill our need,
We were victim of this covid seed.
I was always proud that my English was fine,
But you taught the 14 days isolation and quarantine.
Before our resolutions could come true,
You made us stand in the hospital queue.
From my childhood, my parents told don’t wear a deception mask,
But you made it compulsory, it was a difficult task.
I only knew medicines as appetizer,
But you made it drenched us with sanitizer.
From where did you come and conceal?
What energy to engulf people what zeal?
Suddenly you thinned the crowd,
The voice were bleak, which was once so loud
You never heard people lamented,
You planed all symptoms and tormented.
If I want to see the flesh back
2020 has nothing but a setback.
Light, camera and action,
No pics, no video, no reaction.
I can see some scary face,
Scared of death in the life’s race.
As we are nearing the year’s end,
We will have a better 2021, we can comprehend
I want to bury my memories in 2020 grave yard,
Never come back, as I want to live with my progress card…
