I was a doctor by profession,
Serving humanity was my passion.
Few days back we went on strike,
Our mission was not pay hike.
We try to save life as much as we can,
Please treat us human.
We would have earned unethical too,
But we love our profession and you.
We pledged to serve in medical assembly,
We all belong to middle class family.
We face the humiliation in public everyday,
But we keep quite nothing to say.
We leave all our family urgency,
To attend the patient in emergency.
Whenever a patient is in critical state,
We don’t wait for help, we ourselves donate.
But in all budgets, government pays no heed,
No sanctions for hospital and medical need.
When we construct amusement park,
No investment in hospital the life is endangered dark.
The latest technique is only for some,
Common man suffer with help none.
All other profession get a hike,
But for doctors, its a surgical strike.
Even the biggest leader are treated abroad,
They don’t trust us, breaking the umbilical cord.
The worst humiliation is doctors coming from abroad,
In our own country they advice us like a sword.
No position, no recognition, all strain,
Hence there is a brain drain.
We need your confidence and love from society,
Help the doctor’s noble profession almighty.
