DEEP ARE YOUR ROOTS?
Roots that are grounded………………
I was born of my parents as one of the twins. My parents realized that I was dark and brown, though not ugly and was sent to the soil, to be hidden from public ridicule, while my fair brother was sent to the open atmosphere and was crowned with a lovely green jacket.
As time passed by, I helped making meals for my little brother with all water and minerals I found in the Mother Earth and ensured that the xylem, in the guise of a postman takes it to my brother.
I was humble and grounded and wanted my brother plant to grow up into the most beautiful tree and tried to see that all his green leaves dresses were hemmed and shining with lovely venation. When he grew up, he started the production of foodstuff and sent his friend phloem to the ground to support me.
The two siblings were proud of each other’s love and my brother stood tall and strong. I held him tight whenever the winds disturbed him.
Years passed and I thought of getting him married and soon some teeny-weeny seeds were born which came down in my shelter.
Then one day the green coat got withered with brown coating. My brother was getting weak and old and his bark showed his ageing wrinkles and he whispered, “Sis, its time to leave the world as I am unable to eat and drink.” And he fell down on the ground.
Tears rolled down my eyes as I saw my brother fall. I was uprooted too. I tried to kiss his forehead, but in vain………and we both held on to each other till we were buried in the grave.
Such is the love of SIBLINGS……!!!!
