NEVER STOP LEARNING……LEST YOU STOP GROWING
Once upon a time, there was a painter who could sell his paintings for only Rs. 500/- each, day in and day out. No one bought his paintings for over 500.
As he was growing old, he taught the art of painting to his son. The son picked up and soon started painting good ones, which he took to the market to sell. He managed to sell his first painting for 100 and soon the price of his paintings rose up to 700 each.
The father was very happy with the success of his son. He told his son one day, that he would teach how to make even better paintings, which he would be able to sell at 1000. The son laughed at his father and said that he was a better painter than his father, because the father could never sell for more than 500, while he could sell for 700.
The father was very disappointed and pained to learn such views from his son. He told his son that since he did not want to learn more, he may not be able to sell his paintings for over 700, because he had stopped learning………. He then narrated an incident that had occurred with his father. He too had STOPPED LEARNING THE ART BETTER FROM HIS FATHER, and subsequently, could not rise to sell beyond 500. His EGO stopped him to learn and could not grow up to become a better painter.
